In the drawers we keep our valuables, keep our memories from the past safe and sound. Not only that, we even keep our feelings inside a drawer - which is made from a piece of canvas hooked unto some wood.

My paintings are like drawers that keep their own mysteries from myself. Everything on the canvas is an expression of those I have explained and of those as yet unexplained. Because they are inside a drawer, the key to which I keep in my own pocket...
