Dwi is an Indonesian artist who lives in Helsinki, a quiet unassuming man. He prefers to work than to talk. There is always a very strong nature element in work, which I think is directly related to his working environment as a gardener. His sound performance with contraptions that he fashioned using the lidi is very powerful. The resulting vibration resonates beyond mere audio-visual perception. It leaves a lasting impact in me.
