I met Bob Sick through S. Teddy Darmawan who managed to convince me to visit him in his tiny studio. He was quite a sight: a long-haired skinny guy with tattoo all over his skin, seemingly drunk all the time. The walls of his small room were covered with all sorts of pictures: posters, photos, collages. Paintings of various sizes were everywhere. It was quite overwhelming. He turned out to be a very sweet and friendly guy, and I couldn’t get my mind off his vivacious paintings so I had to go back and bring some to Hong Kong.
