Introduction   |   The Artworks   |   The Artist   |   The Opening

Sin Sin Fine Art is pleased to present the debut exhibition of emerging British artist Jack Penny in Asia Pacific. Curator Sin Sin Man & Jack Penny Encountered in St. Moritz, Switzerland when they were both invited to artist residency by Allegra projects.

This series of artworks in “Naturelust” raises our awareness on the importance of balance between the modern life and nature. Right relationship with urban life and the nature is both a personal and a collective choice, but it is a choice that we must make. It can support and inspire people struggling to find a foundational base for the development of productive societies and a healthy human–earth relationship.

Born in 1988 at Chichester (U.K.), Jack Penny is conscious of trying to spark his audience’s sensory awareness as they experience his work. His style permitted expressivity, even exuberance, and, in contrast to the pervasive intellectualism of Minimalist and Conceptualist art of our time. As he paints, Jack’s process is intuitive as he attempts to act before making choices. Without hesitation, he responds spontaneously to the work developing before him, relying only upon his initial instincts when making decisions regarding the colours, textures or lines.
