Sin Sin Fine Art is proud to be a part of this year’s French May, presenting French-Colombian artist Pablo Posada Pernikoff’s works for its 30th anniversary in a celebration of art. Our exhibition “Velocity” ponders the strength of movement and momentum of change that happens with time, through the abstract and soft shapes Pablo creates out of hard, unforgiving materials such as glass, crystal, metal, and handmade paper.

Since the late 1980s in Italy, Pablo has been experimenting with lines that express motion. He then moved to Japan in the 1990s and lived there for two decades, bringing a different dimension of vision towards nature as well as one’s surroundings. A nomadic soul, he has also lived in France, Colombia, and Canada, and his ability to adapt to diverse cultures allowed him to harmoniously combine a myriad of materials and techniques.

Looking at the world now, Pablo embraces fluidity as he navigates our ever-changing realities, with nature as a constant source of inspiration. In this body of work, he focuses on the flow of states of matter – the water movements of liquid, the solid flow of vegetation and minerals, and the ethereal state of air. Through lines and light that interact with different materials, he contemplates the velocity of the shifts in contemporary life and how movement has always been present in the natural world, exhibiting the human ability to cope with changes.

Everything changes, everything stays.
